Purpose
FUTUROS COLECTIVOS///
Collaborative Platform for Habitat and Territories
We define this initiative as a celebration of listening and a tribute to collectivity.
We are driven by the need to make collective projects visible—particularly those that contribute to the improvement of their environments—and to create a tool for interaction between them, fostering experiments that may emerge from this fertile field of possibilities.
We aim to support the growth of such initiatives, aspiring to stimulate new projects through this convergence, and to encourage mutual enrichment among participating collectives.
For Investigations of the Future, the motivation behind this proposal is to continue deepening practices grounded in a collective perspective, rooted in documentation, dissemination, communication, and the creation of cultural projects that promote cooperation, exchange, and community action.
We believe the value of transdisciplinarity lies in the appreciation of difference and the recognition of others, and that listening is the key agent of convergence for generating meaning in learning and in the development of actions.
We are convinced that this project will give rise to numerous interactions and forge new connections that will contribute to the improvement of the spaces we inhabit.
What is Collective Futures?
COLLECTIVE FUTURES proposes two lines of work to expand the resonances of Investigations of the Future: one is virtual—the Collective Futures Platform—and the other is in-person—the Drift of Collective Futures.
Collective Futures Platform
The platform aims to become a catalogue or mapping of cases, with the goal of making visible various transdisciplinary territorial projects and actions. It focuses on the relationship between urban issues, expressive and artistic documentation media, and architecture.
This catalogue seeks to reveal a current state of affairs through the collective mapping of cases, offering the possibility of building a network of connections, alliances, and mutual support for collaborative work.
The platform is shaped by the profiles of each participating experience, composed of texts, images, podcasts, videos, and other transmedia formats. These present each collective or network, the development of one or more of their projects, their history and production context, the challenges they have faced, and their future perspectives.
The Drift of Collective Futures – The Rolling Listening Room
This consists of a series of events in various public urban spaces (streets, squares, parks, community centers, schools), centered on listening and collective reflection on urban and civic issues, in interaction with the community and its environment in a broad sense.
The initiative COLLECTIVE FUTURES, Collaborative Platform for Habitat and Territory, is one of the 31 projects forming part of the Orillas Nuevas program.
Orillas Nuevas is a support program for cultural and creative industries in Argentina, organized by the Institut Français d’Argentine, in partnership with Fundación Williams and Fundación Medifé.
